Beliveau Farm announces opening of gluten-free brewery  

A ribbon-cutting will mark the beginning of Beliveau Farm’s new addition

BLACKSBURG, Va., (September 11, 2019) - Beliveau Farm (Beliveau) will be holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, September 11, at 4:45pm ET for the opening of its gluten-free brewery. 

Beliveau’s beers, made from three ancient grains: millet, rice and buckwheat, will be handcrafted on the estate. 

“From the start, I didn’t simply want to brew a ‘good enough’ beer for those who couldn’t have the barley malt variety,” said head brewer John Hildreth. “I endeavored to brew real beer with a different kind of grain bill, something for all beer drinkers.”

At the ribbon-cutting the new Beliveau brews will be showcased as well as the "Ready to Go" food window at Beliveau’s bed and breakfast, now called The Manor House. Guests will be able to sample Beliveau's gluten-free beers as well as see, touch, and smell the ancient grains that go into the gluten-free beer-making process.  

“In our beer garden, we want people to enjoy beers in a variety of styles that are diverse, delicious, and satisfying for everyone,” said owner, Yvan Beliveau. 

Beliveau’s weekly Wine Wednesdays will now feature $4 beers in addition to the usual $3.50 glasses of wine and 25% off bottles.
